What it actually does
01
Second-device listening
WinItAI runs on a laptop or second monitor while your phone takes the call. No screen-share required, no shared audio path.
02
Optional earpiece mode
Stream the answer summary to a Bluetooth earpiece for hands-free reading during walking or pacing interviews.
03
Behavioral and technical coverage
Phone screens range from recruiter chat to senior technical screens. WinItAI handles all of them — STAR, system design, and live coding via shared editor links.
04
Multi-speaker diarization
Panel-style phone screens with two or three interviewers stay clean. WinItAI tracks who asked what and tailors the answer.
03 · how it works
From install to offer in four steps
- 01
Step 1 — Set up the second device
Open WinItAI on your laptop. Place it next to your phone. WinItAI's microphone captures the call audio.
- 02
Step 2 — Take the call normally
Answer the phone, introduce yourself, settle in.
- 03
Step 3 — Read while speaking
WinItAI streams answers to your laptop screen in real time. You read, paraphrase, and answer naturally.
- 04
Step 4 — Hang up confident
Post-call, WinItAI generates a session summary so you can prep follow-up notes for the recruiter.

Common questions
Does WinItAI need to share my screen?
No. Phone interview mode runs entirely on a second device. There is no screen-share, no audio routing, and no software running on the device taking the call.
Is the latency the same as video interviews?
Yes. WinItAI's 116 ms average latency holds in phone mode because the model routing layer is the same — only the audio source changes.
Will the interviewer hear typing?
WinItAI does not require you to type. You read the answer from your secondary screen and speak naturally. There is no keystroke audio.
